Market Manager, Biocides

Job Description

Functional Responsibilities:

Market Management
• Execute Business Development Priorities.
• Maintain and drive delivery of Opportunity Pipeline with Sales / Commercial team.
• Lead new product commercialization launches and promotions.
• Develop value propositions and target products for marketing programs.
• Responsible for execution of internal product line sales training programs regarding technology application, portfolio options and competitive landscape

Market Dynamics
• Responsible for compiling and communicating trends, activities, competitors, customer needs, regulatory issues, etc. (e.g. end-market sizes, Market Growth Rates, Competitive capacities, Competitive product line portfolios, end-use applications).
• Responsible for maintaining internal tools that consolidate market dynamics.
• Support integration of knowledge into effective product strategies.
• Participate in industry trade organizations and shows.

Strategic Planning:
• Supports the development, approval, and execution of regional, product line specific to five-year plans, consistent with the Global Corporate Plan, including long term technology, product portfolio raw material and marketing strategies.

External Focus:
• Develop mid-level relationships at key external customers, suppliers and other key industry contacts.
• Support Sales / Marketing at customers to identify unmet needs and drive growth.
• Ensures external and internal customer requirements are being met.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of related business experience
• Biocides experience a plus
• Experience working in a matrixed environment.
• Self-starter with the ability to identify and proactively resolve business issues.
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills, metrics-driven and process-oriented.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• As Appropriate – up to 20% Travel

 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required
