Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description

We are currently seeking an HR Coordinator to work in our Millsdale Manufacturing facility located in Elwood, IL, a southern suburb of Chicago. The successful candidate will have initiative and be responsible for providing support to the HR department and overall site.

In This Role You Will:

  • Provide support to employees on various HR-related topics by answering questions and providing information
  • Develop, assists, or prepare correspondence as requested and continuously improve communication cadence for site
  • Prepare and communicate site announcements including but not limited to: birth, funeral, promotions, new hires and retirements
  • Perform HRIS transactions and maintains system records
  • Provide administrative support, record keeping, reporting, file maintenance, and clerical support as directed
  • Conduct audits and follow company's record keeping requirements
  • Create, update, and maintain department metrics dashboard(s)
  • Coordinate, prepare, and facilitate new hire orientation process
  • Enter transactions, run, and analyze reports, identify and report system
  • Ensure appropriate documentation has been received (e.g. resignation, discipline, termination letter) and employee files/records are handled according to procedureabnormalities to the appropriate area for correction
  • Handle coordination of HR related tasks and other offboarding activities as needed
  • Conduct in-person Exit Interviews and prepares site reports using feedback from employees
  • Responsible for executing the employee leave process for the site (e.g. FMLA, STD, LTD) working with TPA system and Total Rewards department to ensure smooth
    transitions
  • Support H & S department on RTW process including Fitness for Duty assessments and ADA accommodations
  • Reinforce company policies, rules, and procedures
  • Perform special duties or projects, as needed, to assist the site

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Human Resources
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism, and maintain confidentiality
  • Good time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work on and complete multiple tasks with zero to minimum errors
  • Excellent communication skills including listening, speaking, and writing
  • Resourcefulness

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
