Logistics Leader

Job Description

The main purpose of the Logistics Leader is to establish and utilize processes, procedures and analytics to manage Millsdale warehouse operations and provide supervision for the daily operations of team members.  
Responsibilities includes the following:
•    Oversee utilization of defined warehouses processes and procedures. Solicit ideas from associating departments, assess responses and develop strategic recommendations considering total cost of ownership
•    Provide supervision, direction and support for hourly and salary direct reports 
•    Ensure that warehouse operations and support are aligned with Corporate Supply Chain, Business and company goals and objectives.
•    Provide weekly and monthly performance metrics including key performance indicators (KPIs)
•    Facilitate Millsdale inventory accuracy efforts associated with the warehouses
•    Execute maintenance and permit process for warehouse functions
•    Ensure the team has the tools to execute material movements including the shuttle moves between Millsdale and the SDC
•    Oversee, report on, and plan the area’s open EH&S and PSCA assignments for timely and effective closure
•    Participate in or lead incident investigations.  Review and approve incident investigation findings and corrective actions
•    Ensure compliance with external (i.e. EPA, OSHA) agency or internal company standards. Ensure EH&S work instructions, practices, and policies are strictly adhered to. Set and track the warehouses EH&S improvement targets and EH&S audits findings
•    Identify and drive technology improvements related to Site Logistics.  Partner with members of Supply Chain and others to proactively address network optimization opportunities, drive process improvements and ensure best in class practices through IT enablement
•    Develop and implement continuous improvement processes to drive network optimization, intra-plant movement of materials, cost reductions and improved service in collaboration with other stakeholders, functions within the company with third party partners

Qualifications

•    Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required 
•    Prior inventory management experience 

Education

•    Bachelor’s Degree required with 3-5 years of Supply Chain experience or High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of Supply Chain experience
