Job Description
Stepan is hiring a NA Regional CI Manager position. This role can be based in Elwood IL, Pasadena TX or Winder, GA.
Job Description:
- Support Regional Leadership Team: budgeting, targets settings and cascading them to the entire organization
- CI Maturity: Create site roadmaps, standardize across sites, new process implementation, coordinate and support maturity assessment process
- Identification of Areas/Waste: Identify areas requiring improvement and eliminate waste.
- Project Management: Lead independent, interdisciplinary projects that deliver measurable business benefits, such as cost reduction and capacity increase.
- Support for Smaller Projects: Assist sites with smaller projects.
- Training: Developing training programs, coaching and mentoring network of Supply Chain Team Members, conduct training sessions.
- Coordination and Implementation of MOS: Coordinate, implement, and manage the MOS system, including Hoshin and central audit program.
- Building a CI Culture: Foster a culture of continuous improvement through regular engagement with various elements and collaboration with employees.
- Potential projects (Manage 1-2 projects annually with a cost-out target exceeding annual salary)
- Inventory Optimization and Warehouse Space Management
- Re-evaluation of Workload, Roles, and Responsibilities in Production and Warehouse
- Stock Management Project
- Cost-Out Process and Procedure to Record, Analyze, and Reduce All Prices of Non-Conformities
- Optimizing Organizational Design Aligned with Volumes
- Supporting Close Cooperation with Procurement to Implement Cost Control Plans on Contractors and Selected Indirect
- Reducing Customer Complaints and Low Value-Added Activities
- Water Management: Balancing Uses and Identifying Reduction Opportunities
- Enhancing Batch Cycle Time Variability Reduction Program with Selected Products
- Holistic View on Rig Reduction
Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a CI role leading improvement projects and training others in Lean (5S, SMED, TPM, SMED) and Six Sigma concepts in a manufacturing environment.
• Track record of successful projects’ completion yielding substantial results.
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certified.
• Experience auditing sites/plants to a standard.
Education
• Bachelor's degree – Engineering preferred
Pay Range: $81,000 - $124,000
The salary range for this position is determined by considering a variety of factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and the location of the position.
