OILFIELD SOLUTIONS R&D CHEMIST

We are looking for an experienced chemist to fill a position in our Oilfield Solutions R&D team in Houston. The role would entail developing chemical solutions for various oil and gas problems in drilling, stimulation, and production. The selected candidate would have the opportunity to develop products in our Oilfield Solutions application lab in Houston and present solutions to internal and external customers. Most projects would involve inter-disciplinary collaboration to take products from concept to commercialization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Manage overall project workload: design, direct and execute complex projects, either personally or with other workgroup members.
•  Develop and implement testing plans with results documented in technical reports.
•  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop new products.
•  Use available resources and databases to regularly review technical information, patents, and literature pertinent to fields of expertise.
•  Develop awareness of new trends and testing protocols in the Oil and Gas industry.
•  Develop sales tools and train sales team on new product offerings.
•  Promote technologies of interest inside and outside the company. Present technical information such as new products, methods, technologies to customers and industry conferences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Oilfield Chemicals Product Development or Testing.
• 2+ years of experience in Drilling Fluids Formulation and Testing.

Education

• BS/MS in Chemistry or related field
