Job Description
The Accounts Payable Supervisor position is a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” position that will lead and support corporate accounts payable activities to ensure transactions are processed timely, accurately and in compliance with established SOX controls, company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
Reporting to the AP/AR and Payroll Manager, this position will work closely with the Procurement Department and SAP/Ariba automation system.
- Support full Accounts Payable cycle from invoice received to payment in SAP environment, including but not limited to, coding invoices, 2-way/3-way matching purchase orders and service sheets, obtaining approval and entering the invoices into SAP;
- Supervise Accounts Payable team, cross-functionality working with Procurement
- Assist and provide Accounts Payable subject matter expertise to internal partners with problem resolution and finding and executing process improvement opportunities;
- Lead in invoice management and document retention in accordance with SOX controls and company policies;
- Active participant in the implementation of SAP and other related IT projects, providing accounts payable technical and functional expertise/guidance and ensuring projects are sustainable long-term.
- Manage GR/IR and problem resolution;
- Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders/service sheets, supporting suppliers and customers/vendors with reconciliations and problem resolution;
- Support vendor setup validation process as well as relationship and effective partnerships;
- Participate in designing and implementing process improvements and automation (e.g. RPA);
- Support processing and file forms 1099, and other tax filings;
- Support corporate finance and treasury department on funding/bank interfaces, reconciliations and general ledger mapping and journal entries;
- Work closely with various stakeholders, especially the Procurement Department, on process and master data issues and provide support for issue resolution when identified;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A minimum five years of SAP Accounts Payable experience required, preferably in a large global organization with detailed SAP hands on experience;
- Ability to take initiative, adapt, prioritize and problem solve with strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Supervisory experience perferred
- Energetic, strong work ethic, resilient, collaborative, ability to juggle multiple projects at once and personally committed to achieving success;
- Ability to take ownership and determine escalation requirements and ensure key issues are put in front of key stakeholders with recommendations for resolution;
- Attention to detail and continuous process improvement mindset;
- General information flow and understanding of end-to-end Procure to Pay is required;
- SAP/Ariba automation module experience or equivalent is highly desired;
- General understanding of US GAAP is a plus;
- General Payroll and/or Accounts Receivable experience is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
