Job Description

Stepan is seeking a North American Market Growth Manager to join our Surfactant Commercial team in our Northbrook Headquarters. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy and planning for Stepan’s Consumer Solutions Business. You will report to the North American Marketing Director.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead the introduction of new products and solutions to the market by partnering with the business teams and driving business growth. 
•    Drive market insights to obtain relevant and reliable information around markets, customers, competitors and trends, while converting that data into actionable insights for that organization to use in strategy and business planning.
•    Work cross-functionally within our Personal Care innovation team to develop and bring relevant and effective new solutions to the market through business case development, VOC leadership, generating market insights and leading the go-to-market strategy.
•    Work cross-functionally with the business to generate business strategies and priorities to effectively grow our consumer solutions business. 
•    Lead the development and execution of marketing programs and campaigns, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration for both established and new products.  
•    Drive lead generation by partnering with marketing communications on promotional plans. Support content development and review of communication materials (e.g., webinars, advertisements, website / industry portal materials, eblasts, social media posts, video scripts).  
•    Actively manage product portfolio life cycle to maximize sales and profit, while building a strong long-term brand.
•    Work with Sales and Marketing Effectiveness to generate content to train our commercial team on products and new technologies, so they have the tools and information to succeed.
•    Partner with Corporate Sustainability Function to develop strategies that support our ambitions. 



•    Strong consumer or personal care market knowledge 
•    At least 5 years experience in B2B marketing for the personal care or consumer sector 
•    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products


•    BS degree in related field
•    MBA preferred
