Job Description
As part of our long-term corporate strategy and growth, we are seeking for our plant located in Vlissingen (NL) a Quality Manager QA/QC
The Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager is responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems consistently meet internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory and certification requirements.
The role combines strategic oversight of the Quality Management System with hands-on leadership of quality control activities, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The position is a full time (100%) on-site position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management Systems and Quality certifications with support from site EH&S Managers (ISO 9001, ISCC+, and others as applicable).
- Act as a key interface with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D, and other functions on quality-related matter and new product development.
- Report quality performance and issues to senior management.
- Investigate customer complaints and ensure effective communication and resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process reliability, and operational efficiency. Liaison with Regional and Corporate QA for key initiatives and projects.
- Ensure safe operations in QC laboratory according to Company standards & test methods.
- Oversee inspection, testing, and control activities for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Facilitate new product development on site, raw material qualifications & new analytical methods implementation.
- Identify non-conformities, lead root cause investigations, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure proper application of Management of Change for (product) quality.
- Monitor quality performance using KPI and budget control, propose yearly budgets and capital plans.
- Establish and deploy quality policies, procedures, and work instructions across operations, maintain the document management system.
- Plan, conduct, and follow up internal and external (certification bodies, customers, and regulatory authorities) quality audits. Track audit findings and ensure timely and effective closure of action plans.
- Supervision, development and support of QC/QA team (Management of one lab technician and two administrative positions).

Qualifications
Skills and experience:
- Qualified in a degree in Quality/Chemical/Laboratory field.
- Professional experience in QA and/or QC in the chemical industry or similar environment.
- Experience in supervision of teams; be a go-to-person
- A high level of safety, environmental, and quality awareness is required, as well as a productive mindset, flexibility and sense of responsibility.
- Experience in handling of ERP systems (ideally SAP) as well as knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong analytical and continuous improvement skills, a systemic approach.
- Result-orientated, committed, perseverance and hands-on/can-do mentality.
- Good social and communication skills , with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams, customers, auditors, and authorities.
- Excellent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Structured and organised, independent and self-responsible way of working.
Education

- Qualified in a degree of Chemical/Laboratory education.
- Excellent in Dutch, German and English, both spoken and written.
