EHS&S Manager UK
STEPAN UK are looking for an EHSS Manager to:
- Provide guidance on requirements of legislation for a Top Tier COMAH manufacturing facility, keeping local management informed of legislative updates and the necessary actions to remain compliant.
- Be involved in Site process safety
- Drives continuous improvement in EHS performance on site and develops, promotes and maintains a behavioural safety culture for the site.
- Deliver local EHS targets in line with site Balanced Scorecard
- Works with site leadership team to develop and maintain WASTE and Energy minimisation program for the site
- Develops significant influence on site through all functions and is respected at all levels of the organisation
- Develops and maintains significant and positive external relationships with local regulatory authorities. Acts as sites EHS&S technical contact with these groups
- Develops strong working relationships with other Europe based site EHS&S leaders as well as Global EHS&S leadership, sharing best practice
- Significantly involved on defining and agreeing priorities for EHS&S projects in the annual capital programme for their site working closely with Site and European Engineering leaders.
- Ensure delivery on budget fixed cost performance for EHS&S related elements of the site manufacturing budgets.
Essential/Desirable Criteria
We would like you to have:
- NEEBOSH General certificate or equivalent
- Ability to be flexible with working hours
- The confidence to liaise with external bodies including HSE and the Environment Agency
It would also be great if you have:
- Chemical Engineering Experience particularly in Process Safety
- COMAH reporting knowledge
- Auditing experience
