Production Services Operator

Location: 

Stalybridge, ENG, GB, SK15 1PH

UK Based - Production Services Operator - 4 on 6 off 12 hr days

Annualised Shift Pattern - 27.2k plus shift premium (reserved hours built into 6 days off for training and cover)

Main aspects of the role

  • Operate a variety of chemical plant equipment  - Tankers loading and unloading, IBC's, Drums, FLT Driving
  • Follow detailed process instructions 
  • Problem Solving in Production Areas
  • Regular manual handling of chemicals
  • Assist with Audits and Inspections
  • You will be expected to participate in the site Emergency Response and to participate in process and EHS improvements

Skills and Experience

We'd like you to have;

  • an up to date FLT Licence
  • A good level of literacy and numeracy
  • Computer skills - the basics
  • A passion for developing in the role - this is a starter area in the plant and comes with progression into plant operations for those who are looking to develop a career with us.

 

It would also be really good if you had;

  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) advantageous
  • Experience in the chemical industry is not vital but a manufacturing background would be advantageous, preferably Top Tier COMAH Experience
