Site Shift Supervisor

UK Stalybridge is looking for a Site Shift Supervisor 45 - 48k - Respectfully no agencies please

Part of the site management team, this is a critical leadership role in driving improvement and will involve leading, managing and coaching individuals in alignment with Stepan values.  The role will also involve working with other Site Shift Team Supervisors and stakeholders in delivering effective communications and teamwork across shift changes, shutdowns, and projects.

The ideal candidate should be happy working an annualised shift pattern 2 x 12 hour days plus 2 x 12 hour nights - then 6 off - (4 of the 6 off are reserved hours to cover any eventualities).

  • Clearly defines and communicates expectations with team on day to day basis.
  • Understands and operates Company HR policies including disciplinary process where applicable.
  • Promotes a team working ethic in shift team and across other shift teams.
  • Demonstrates Stepan values behaviour consistently.

 

We are also looking for someone who will:

  • Drive site waste minimisation process.
  • Deal with out of hours operational issues.
  • Prioritise out of hours Engineering resource to deal with breakdown issues.
  • Ensure accuracy of SAP data.
  • Report out of hours site performance details at production meetings as required.
  • Have a hands-on active role with the process.

The role is shift work on an annualised shift pattern.

We are looking for someone who will

  • Have a hands-on active role with the process.

What we'd like you to have

Must have

  • Qualifications in manufacturing management or a willingness to learn and progress
  • Good IT skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint Office.
  • Good knowledge of MRP systems (e.g. SAP).
  • Experience in leading, managing and coaching teams.

It would be advantageous if you have

  • Previous experience of working on a top-tier COMAH site is advantageous.
  • Good Knowledge of site utilities such as boiler maintenance, air and water systems.
