EHS&S Engineer - Europe

Job Description
Reporting to the EMEA EHS & Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will implement the global strategy for all sites with the goal of improving the site´s EHS&S performance by aligning global, regional and local targets :
- In prioritizing and implementing EHS&S projects and providing technical solutions, you will support the european sites. You will monitor activities via global and local systems incl. respective KPI´s.
- Leads, develops, or coordinates training programs to increase proficiency in EHS&S practices and promote awareness.
- Resources organization to ensure timely reporting, classification, and investigation of EHS&S incidents.
- Performs risk assessment/job safety analysis (incl. PSM) of work areas and processes to identify safety, health and environmental issues, such as chemical and physical hazard, as well as ergonomics.
- Leads specialized work streams or be called upon to participate in other EHS networks or committees within the organization.
- With your expertise you will improve EHS&S compliance according to internal regulations in collaboration with Corporate EHS and monitor audit findings concerning EHS&S gaps and support local sites to close the gaps.
Qualifications
- Masters degree (e.g. MSc, M.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering, or similar
- 7 years experience in EHS&S, preferably in a chemical environment
- Significant experience in areas such as PSM, Project Management, EHS regulations (SEVESO, COMAH…)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently (plan and organize work, establish goals and objectives). Action oriented and strong drive.
- Management system approach and continual improvement mindset – ex : ISO 14000, ISO 45000, ISO 50000.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in english (oral presentation, report writing).
- Organized, rigorous and passionate, you know how to influence others, drive change and obtain adhesion.
- Potential oncall system (site level - Voreppe)
Position located in Voreppe or Stalybridge + travel ~30%
