We’re currently hiring a Chemical Operator to join our Production team, reporting to the Operations Supervisor. What You’ll Do
As a Chemical Operator, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our processes running safely, efficiently, and within specification. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting resin manufacturing processes to maintain quality and reliability
- Following established SOPs to complete tasks, perform inspections, and take corrective action when needed
- Unloading and handling raw materials in accordance with safety and operating procedures
- Preparing equipment for maintenance, submitting work notifications, and completing minor mechanical “fix‑it‑yourself” tasks
- Actively participating in safe work practices, including lockout/tagout and work permitting
- Maintaining strong housekeeping standards across operating areas, control rooms, break areas, and plant vehicles
- Cross‑training and certifying in multiple operating areas as you build depth and flexibility
- Working collaboratively with teammates, maintenance, and supervision to support production goals
Work Schedule
- 12‑hour rotating shift schedule
- Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required based on business needs
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in industrial utilities or chemical manufacturing, or similar process-driven environments
- Experience troubleshooting / applying mechanical skills for minor repairs on process equipment
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Skills:
- 2-year minimum experience in industrial utilities or chemical manufacturing
- Chemical material handling experience
- Experience moving and spotting railcars
- SAP experience
- Forklift certified
Required Physical Ability / Working Conditions:
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as walking, climbing stairs and ladders, standing, stooping, pushing, and pulling for up to 12 hours
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and on‑call coverage as needed
- Ability to successfully complete a Physical Abilitiies Test (PAT)

Education
High school diploma or GED
