Job Description
The Wilmington, NC site currently has an opening for General Mechanic. This position reports to the Maintenance Leader. The successful candidate comes with prior maintenance experience with equipment associated with utilities, chemical or heavy manufacturing environment, and contributes to a shared vison of innovation and resource conservation. The primary responsibilities of the General Mechanic is to perform routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for various rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, gear boxes, and agitators.
Qualifications
- Perform installation or corrective and preventive maintenance on all plant mechanical (production & utilities) equipment including but not limited to: Pumps, Motors, Gearboxes,Compressor, Conveyor Systems, Reactors, Mixers, Process heaters, Boilers, Fans, etc.
- Work on general construction jobs e.g. (running conduit or pipe, concrete work, heavyequipment operation, insulation, etc.)
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms including readingschematics and piping & instrumentation diagrams as well as manufacturers’ manuals andfabrication drawings.
Education
- High School Education or the equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in manufacturing / industrial field performing tasksincluding industrial mechanic duties, pipe-fitting, rigging, laser alignments, pump and gearboxre-builds or related military experience.
- SAP knowledge preferred
