Logistics Planning Coordinator

Job Description

Stepan is Hiring a Logistics Planning Coordinator at our Winder, GA plant. To work as part of a team to provide proficient, timely, accurate service to Production, Accounting, Maintenance and EHS&S assigned functions for the site. This role will split time between front office administrative duties and key warehouse and logistics responsibilities. The primary responsibilities are administrative in nature but do require general office skills, computer skills, adaptability with the ability make decisions, problem solving and work individually or as a team member.  Basic Hours of work are M-F 8am-5 pm. This position reports directly to the Logistics Manager. 

Responsibilities

Inventory:

  • Maintain bulk and package trailer inventory by utilizing and
  • updating the plant truck database
  • Maintain empty drum and tote inventory
  • Inventory of critical raw materials
  • Complete warehouse counts of inventory monthly and make adjustments working with accounting
  • Be a key stakeholder and teammate in managing inventory in the warehouse and outside storage locations.

Administrative:

  • Responsible for receipt, distribution and documentation of plant wide MRO goods utilizing SAP Goods Receipt module.
  • Manage Plant Release process; monitor plant releases to ensure final resolution, coordinate pick-up and delivery of repairable items i.e. valves, motors, pumps, etc.; facilitate payment for services.
  • Ordering of supplies through Ariba and/or creating requisitions.
  • Maintain and order plant consumables through Ariba ( filters,placards, pallets, warehouse keep stock, Drumming Supplies etc.
  • Identification of empty totes and drum recycling and coordinate
  • Coordinate with EHS&S concerning how to handle disposal
  • Maintain inventory of products for PTDR add back and work with 
  • Production on working back into finished products.
  • Miscellaneous related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years working in Plant Operations
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal environmental and OSHA safety regulations materials 
  • Excellent people, organizational and communication skills

Education

•    High school diploma or equivalent.
