Job Description

Position can be based in France, Poland or UK

Regulatory Affairs Officer ensures appropriate registration and legal compliance of a portfolio as a key link between Stepan, its products, and regulatory authorities.
 Your mains responsibilities will be : 
•    Lead regulatory affairs activities to support Stepan developing, manufacturing and putting on the market chemicals according to ad hoc chemical management legislations.  Plan and take required actions to register and to maintain registrations. Coordinate regulatory work with consultants, laboratories and consortium. 
•    Provide management with regulatory insight and trends to derisk Stepan’s business. Maintain his or her level of regulatory knowledge. Ability to share this knowledge and communicate efficiently to internal and external stakeholders.
As part of Stepan, you will : 
•    Follow Stepan’s policies and procedures to prevent the health and safety of yourself, Stepan’s co-workers and the Environment. 
•    Respect and behave according to Stepan’s values
•    Report to the EMEA EHSS/Regulatory Affairs Manager

 

Qualifications

Minimum requirement 
•    At least 5-year experience in regulatory affairs of industrial chemicals, crop protection or biocides
•    Able to demonstrate basic project management skills
•    Computer literacy with document, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
•    Fluent in English + scientific English (written and spoken) 
•    Communication & listening skills 

Following background/skills will be a plus 
•    Degree in microbiology, (eco)toxicology skills 
•    Scientific mind
•    At least 5-year experience in REACH /REACH like
•    Experience in SDS authoring 
•    Knowledge of polymers and surfactant
•    Business acumen
•    SAP knowledge

Education

  • Scientific degree in chemistry or biology
